Applications can now be submitted in connection with the new edition of the Science Award of the Gdansk Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences that is addressed to young scientists for the year 2017. Applications for the awards are to be submitted in an electronic format at gdansk@pan.pl, from the 15th of January to 31 March this year.
Starting from the 15th of January 2018, the Presidium of the Gdansk Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences announced a new edition of the Science Award of the Gdansk Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences addressed to young scientists for the year 2017.
CONDITIONS FOR THE AWARD IN BRIEF:
The award is given equally to five candidates in the following five fields:
1) humanities and social sciences, 2) biological and agrarian sciences, 3) natural sciences and Earth sciences, 4) technical sciences, 5) medical sciences for innovative research achievements, which were published in the year preceding the application for the current award.
PLEASE NOTE: the selected discipline for humanities and social sciences in the current year is as follows:
1. LITERARY STUDIES
1. The award is given to staff members or postgraduate research students from science institutions in three Pomeranian provinces, who in the year preceding the year of submission of their application were under, or at the age of 33.
2. The applications for the awards are to be sent via e-mail a tgdansk@pan.pl from the 15th of January to the 31 of March this year.
3. The results of the contest shall be announced on the www.gdansk.pan.pl website at May 31, current year. The awarding ceremony shall be held during the second half of June.
4. THE FINANCIAL VALUE OF EACH AWARD IS 4.000 PLN before tax.
